Thirtysomething Hillary Burns has spent his life trying to get the approval of her parents her mother, Meredith Burns, to date without success. Part of that approval for Hillary is to marry the person. This is exactly why Hillary is really happy that she's engaged to powerful lawyer Jason King, who she will buy to meet with the household for the first time.
