Amazing Grace and Chuck

Chuck Murdock, a 12-year-old Montana boy who is the son of a military jet pilot, becomes concerned after seeing a Minuteman missile on a school field trip. He refuses to play baseball as a form of protest against the existence of nuclear weapons, causing his team to forfeit a Little League game. "Amazing Grace" Smith, a fictional Boston Celtics player played by NBA star Alex English, decides to join the boy in his protest by resigning from the league. This broadens its reach and encourages more professional athletes to join the anti-nuclear-weapons protest. The film reaches a climax when the President of the United States meets with Chuck in person, admiring his determination while explaining the practical difficulties of disarmament. Meanwhile, the lives of Amazing Grace and his agent, Lynn, are threatened by sinister forces.
