Children of the Sea

Ruka is a young girl who lives with her father in an aquarium. Her parents are divorced, and her father works there. When two boys, Umi and Sora, who were nurtured in the water by dugongs are brought to the aquarium, Ruka is pulled to them and begins to realize that she has the same kind of paranormal connection to the ocean that they have. Sora and Umi were both raised in the sea by dugongs. It would appear that Umi and Sora's unique power is associated with the eerie occurrences that have been taking place with increasing regularity, such as the discovery of marine animals in locations that are not normally associated with them and the dispersal of aquarium animals in different parts of the world. Ruka finds herself attracted into exploring the mystery that surrounds her new companions, the lads. However, the precise nature of the boys' power as well as the aberrant incidents is unknown.
