Geek, and You Shall Find

After going to a local comic book convention, three filmmakers are so moved by the stories that cosplayers tell them that they decide to look into geek culture even more. By going to other conventions across the country and talking to famous creators like Kevin Eastman, Stan Lee, and George R.R. Martin, the three start to figure out not only why people like superheroes and stories about superheroes, but also how being a geek could help them live fuller, deeper lives. Geek, and You Shall Find tells the stories of how popular stories were made, like Superman, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. By talking about how these characters and their worlds came to be, the people who made them show how often they have been inspired by real-life social problems. Most importantly, by continuing to talk to fans who have been inspired by these creations, this film shows how superheroes could also help fight these social problems.
