Non Stop Trouble with Spies

In this German farce about a cab driver tasked to deliver a "comrade" back to the East German side of the Berlin Wall, a customer who is permanently dead to the world when he arrives, Herbie Melbourne plays a hapless schlemiel who unwittingly gets stuck between the Devil and the deep blue sea. The KGB and East German intelligence agencies enlist Herbie the cabbie's assistance in determining who murdered the man in his back seat. Herbie is recruited as a counterspy by the CIA and West German Intelligence after arriving on the West German side of the border, for double what the other side is paying him. Herbie seeks advice from a therapist because he appears to have no feasible route out of this situation. She reaches into her bag of tricks and hands Herbie a small vial of self-confidence that he can sniff whenever he needs it, a move that will put him in command of any scenario. Herbie is now a cab driver, a KGB agent, a CIA agent, and a bottle sniffer, and he's head over heels in love with his beautiful therapist.
