Ritchie is really just a chancer with no prospects and hopes. Disillusioned with city life, he goes undercover at a Highland conservation centre to make his fortune being an illegal pearl fisher together with Fraser, Danny along with the assistance of his two mates that are hapless and injury prone. Here he meets a pretty English conservationist, Beth enthusiastic about saving endangered mussels at the Highlands from the clutches of decoration thieves. Ritchie must beat off competition in the form a smooth-talking American Adonis convinced that Beth can not resist his charms, of Highland Ranger Ethan. Subsequent to the victory of pearl fishing brings the unwelcome attentions of older school Glaswegian mobster Gavin along with his job at the center leads him to challenge his true motives, Ritchie has to risk life and limb to rescue the Highlands from environmental disaster and win Beth's heart...
