Mungo Morrison is a mole who is due to begin work at the side inside the mythical gold mine of their hometown of his proud father. Mungo dreams to become a professional footballer while his friends are eager to take the mine. But desperate not to upset his dad, as well as being a mole that is small and unable to engage in football in light, Mungo resigns himself as a miner. When the mine is made to shut down after a mysterious injury, an evil and gold-obsessed super-villain known only as'The Boss', tries to frighten the townsfolk to selling him the mine.
