The Revolt of Mamie Stover

Set in the very early '40s, a San Francisco prostitute is run out of town just as the 2nd World War has started to increase. Mamie settles in Hawaii, wishing to start a new life. Though her potential customers look great when she falls for a science-fiction author that treats her with the regard she is worthy of, the dawning war as well as the fallacies of her previous way of living complicate their aspiring love.
