Young Törless
In a boys' boarding school in the early 1900s, shy, intelligent Törless finds the sadistic behaviour of their fellow students, doing nothing to aid a victimized classmate--until the torture travels too much. Adapted from Robert Musil's famous novel, the New German Cinema movement was introduced by Young Törless and garnered the 1966 Cannes Film Festival International Critics' Prize for Firsttime manager Volker Schlöndorff.
