6teen

6teen is a Teletoon-produced animated sitcom that first aired in Canada in 2004. 6teen aired on Nickelodeon on December 18, 2005, and was cancelled on May 13, 2006. 6teen first ran in reruns on The N from December26, 2005 to July28,2006, and subsequently as a 24-hour channel from December31, 2007 until June21, 2008. 6teen premiered on Cartoon Network in the United States on October 23, 2008. Since its October23, 2008 launch on Cartoon Network, 6teen has had frequent weekly airings, however it was dropped off the schedule in mid-November 2009. It was then reintroduced in mid-February 2010 with numerous airings, before being deleted once more after the series finale on June21, 2010. 6teen made a one-month return on Cartoon Network in January2011, but was then terminated, along with other cancelled shows, due to a schedule change. Popgirl airs it on a regular basis. Brian Melo performed an acoustic rendition of the theme song in the series finale, "Bye Bye Nikki? Part 2." Sixteen had 93 episodes in all. In both Canada and the United States, DVD and iTunes releases were created. Despite the fact that the show was cancelled, Pertsch and McGillis expressed interest in a two-hour reunion telemovie or a feature film. It is not currently on Cartoon Network's schedule, however episodes are available on Cartoon Network on Demand in certain places. 6teen returned to Teletoon with reruns on January3,2011, airing weekend mornings at 3:00 a.m. EST, and has just returned to its former weekday schedule at 7:00 p.m. EST. In the United States and the United Kingdom, the show is also available for viewing on Netflix.
