At the Movies
The films is a movie review tv program produced by Disney ABC Domestic Television in that two film critics shared their own opinions of films. This system aired under various titles. Its hosts were WLS-TV and Gene Siskel of the Chicago Tribune and WBBM-TV and Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times. Richard Roeper of those sun times became Ebert's regular partner in 2000 later Siskel expired in 1999.
Ebert suspended his looks in 2006 together with many different guest hosts substituting for him. Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune cohosted. Starting on September 6, 2008, E! Entertainment Television film critic and writer Ben Lyons and Sirius Satellite Radio host and former co-host of Present Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz and this Young Turks shot over as hosts. About August 5, 2009, it had been announced that Michael Phillips will go back to the show and New York Times film critic A. O. Scott on September 5, 2009.
During its conduct as hosts by Siskel and Ebert, the series was nominated seven times and for Outstanding Information Series, the previous nomination. It had been well regarded for the"thumbs up/thumbs down" review summaries awarded throughout Siskel's and Ebert's tenures. The show aired in syndication from the USA and on CTV in Canada. The show aired through the entire week in the cable system ReelzChannel.
