Call of the Wildman

C all of the Wildman is. This series' next season is now airing. The show follows the exploits of Kentucky woodsman Ernie Brown, Jr., nicknamed"The Turtleman". Inspired by his good friend, Neal James, along with his dog, Lolly, a nuisance animal removal business works, catching the creatures and releasing them . The show is mostly filmed near the Lebanon, Kentucky, dwelling of Brown. Brown began catching snapping turtles from ponds near his home. He also came to the interest of Animal Planet producers after a episode of Kentucky Educational Television's Kentucky Afield show that went viral and featured his methods was submitted on YouTube. After doing a few initial filming and visiting with Brown, network executives decided to produce a season of the series with all the name The Turtleman of all Wild Kentucky. The name was shifted to Phone of the Wildman, a mention of the the distinctive shout of Brown that punctuates his activities. The show has been Animal Planet's most watched program in the fourth quarter of 2011 and has been revived for a second, 16-episode show which began airing in June 2012. On October 2012, Animal Planet has re-released the series with bonus features along with information known as Call of the Wildman: Longer LiveAction.
