Faerie Tale Theatre

Faerie Tale Theatre is a live-action children's anthology television series that retells well-known fairy tales. Shelley Duvall serves as the program's narrator, host, and executive producer, as well as a guest star on occasion. The series was succeeded by a shorter series titled Tall Tales & Legends, which followed the same format as Faerie Tale Theatre and concentrated on traditional American folk tales. The children's television series Shirley Temple's Storybook inspired both of these programs, which feature well-known performers and directors. From 1982 until1987, Showtime initially broadcast Faerie Tale Theatre. It subsequently broadcast in edited reruns on the Disney Channel and in syndication on PBS and BookTelevision, among others.
