Gurren Lagann

In the far future, humans construct their homes and rear their livestock in underground caverns. As a result, they have been living in fear of the occasional earthquake and cave-in for centuries. Jeeha is one of these towns. One day, a young boy named Simon discovers a small, gleaming drill while expanding the hamlet. Simultaneously, Kamina, a man who believes there is another land above the town, convinces a thug to smash through the ceiling in order to escape the cavern. A sudden earthquake causes the ceiling to fall, followed by a large robot crashing through it. Kamina is now convinced that a planet exists above them. He begins to struggle against the robot in a reckless manner. At that moment, another individual appears from the sky. It is a young lady named Yoko. Armed with a gun, she had been pursuing the robot. However, she was only able to distract it. Then, Simon reveals his discovery to Kamina and Yoko. It's a strange robot whose head doubles as its body.
