Suspense is an American television anthology show which ran on CBS Television from 1949 to 1954. This was adapted from the air app of the same name which ran from 1942 to 1962. Like many tv programs that were early, the show was aired live from new york. The business sponsored This, and sponsor Rex Marshall, who encouraged Auto-Lite spark tractors, car batteries, auto batteries, plugs, and other car parts introduced each episode. Some of the scripts were adapted from Suspense radio scripts, while others were original for tv. Like the air program, many scripts were adaptations of literary classics by renowned authors. Vintage writers like Edgar Allan Poe, Agatha Christie, and Charles Dickens had stories whereas authors like Roald Dahl and Gore Vidal also donated. Many prominent actors seemed such as Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Franchot Tone, Robert Emhardt, Leslie Nielsen, Lloyd Bridges, and a Lot More. This app proved to be a tv series that is live, however, many episodes were listed on kinescope. Today But, just about 90 of those 260 episodes live.
