The PJs
Eddie Murphy, Larry Wilmore, and Steve Tompkins developed the American stop-motion animated television series The PJs. It depicted life in an urban public housing building, based on the Brewster-Douglass housing projects in Detroit where Diana Ross and Lily Tomlin had resided. Eddie Murphy starred in the series, which was produced by Imagine Entertainment, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, The Murphy Company and Will Vinton Studios, Touchstone Television, and Warner Bros. Television. The initial run of the series premiered on Fox on January10,1999, immediately following a conference divisional playoff game. Two days later, the second episode aired following King of the Hill on its normal Tuesday night time slot.
