The Untouchables
An American crime series called "The Untouchables" aired on ABC for two seasons from 1959 to 1963. Adapted on the memoir by Eliot Ness and Oscar Fraley, The Untouchables tells the story of a Prohibition agent in Chicago during the 1930s who worked with a special team of agents known as the Untouchables. David Mamet penned the screenplay for the 1987 film adaptation of the novel and a 1993 television show based on it. Actor Robert Stack earned the Best Actor in a Dramatic Series Emmy Award for his performance in The Untouchables in 1960.
