Warrior Baek Dong Soo

Ji Chang-wook, Yoo Seung-ho, Yoon So-yi, Shin Hyun-bin, Choi Min-soo, and Jun Kwang-ryul feature in Warrior Baek Dong-soo, a 2011 South Korean fusion historical/action television series. It broadcast on SBS from July 4 to October 10, 2011, at 21:55 on Mondays and Tuesdays. The series is based on Lee Jae-2010 heon's comic Honorable Baek Dong-soo, and tells the story of how Joseon historical figure Baek Dong-soo grew to become a swordsman and folk hero. Muyedobotongji, a major martial arts work commissioned by King Jeongjo, was written by Baek, one of three authors. Set against the backdrop of political maneuverings in Joseon between various factions, namely those led by King Jeongjo, the Qing ambassador, Japanese swordsman Kenzo, and the assassin's guild Heuksa Chorong, the series is, at its core, a coming-of-age drama about brotherhood, friendship, loyalty, and honor.
